REINVENTING   ICE   HOCKEY   IN   CINCINNATI!

DAMAGE, inc. ... Five years and going Strong!

A Brief History of Who We Are: It has been said that you can't get too much of a good thing. I guess we're the proof! As Ice Hockey is a sport that is played inside, regardless of the weather or season, DAMAGE, inc. has now established itself as an official "Year-Round" Hockey team.

We began October 16th, 1999, a conglomeration of guys wanting to play the game and loosely stuck together by Kevin Lord and the other geniuses at Sports Plus Cincinnati and stuck with the moniker the "D3 Free Agents." But as these guys sat around the table discussing how things were going to happen a great idea was born: "Screw being some slapped together, beer-league coalition of guys who could care less whether we win, lose, suck or improve or even play all that often. Why don't we get serious about this and put together a winning squad that really takes this seriously. And while we're at it, why only play three months out of every year in the same damn rink? That sucks, we want to play all the time and get some real competition going!" A Mission statement it ain't, but it's at the base of what DAMAGE, inc. is.

Goodbye old faces, Hello new faces:

After our first season (whose record was, we'll say, typical of most "expansion" teams), we lost six players for various reasons and, after many exhaustive efforts to recruit new talent by team Captain Quinn Gardner, it looked as though DAMAGE, inc.'s time had come to a close. But a phone call from Gabe Gargarella, the Captain of another team going under called the Penguins, brought new hope and the possibility of joining the remaining players from DAMAGE, inc. with the remaining players from the Penguins. The deal went through and we now are twice as good as we ever were. With a 18-man roster full of talent, DAMAGE, inc. has quite the future ahead with the possibilities of playing in many of the regional tournaments in such places as Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Windsor, Columbus, Cleveland and Indianapolis. Truly the "Most Explosive Hockey Team in Cincinnati!"
