SPORTS PLUS HOCKEY'S RULES AND REGULATIONS:

(As taken word-for-word from the Sports Plus Hockey Captain's Manual, October 2000)

Regulation 1A. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL PENALIZED PLAYERS TO SHUT THE PENALTY BOX DOORS.
You will be allowed to leave the box Five (5) seconds before your penalty's expiration. Please take this seriously as players are leaving the doors wide open which can potentially lead to an injury situation. If player does not shut the door the referee will blow the whistle once the offending team has possesion and the face-off will take place in their Defensive Zone.

Regulation 2A. AFTER THE GAME IS OVER, ALL PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE ICE IMMEDIATELY.
In order to keep all games on time we need your cooperation in this area. Once the Zamboni has started to shave the ice there will be Zero Tolerance for anybody coming onto the ice surface to go to their bench or to stretch. All it will take is one player to enter the ice without the Zamboni Driver's permission and the Zamboni Driver under the League Commissioners' (Kevin Lord and Wes McCauley) Direction will immediately drive off the ice. As soon as the the Zamboni has exited the ice surface, you will be allowed on the ice.

Regulation 3A. SPORTS PLUS IS NO LONGER UTILIZING USA HOCKEY FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.
All Adult League players will be solely responsible for carrying their own insurance plans. You play hockey at your own risk and it is highly suggested but not mandated that you have your own insurance plan before participating in Sports Plus Adult Hockey Leagues.

Rule #1: IF TEAMS ARE AT FULL STRENGTH AND COINCIDENTAL MINORS ARE ASSESSED TO PLAYERS, THE ON ICE STRENGTH WILL BE PLAYED AT FOUR (4) ON FOUR (4).

Rule #2: IF FIGHTING MAJORS ARE ASSESSED, THE PLAYERS INVOLVED WILL EARN THEMSELVES A FOUR (4) GAME SUSPENSION.

In between periods, the Referee will put Twenty-One (21) minutes on the clock and run the clock.
